Myofascial Cupping
Dr. Matt Teigen, DC utilizes a number of different techniques to solve underlying structural issues in patients. Myofascial cupping is one of the tools in his treatment approach, using negative pressure to lift and separate tissue layers, improving blood flow and facilitating the body's natural healing processes.
Unlike traditional cupping, myofascial cupping is performed with movement. Dr. Matt may glide the cups along the fascial planes while assessing tissue quality and identifying areas of restriction. This dynamic approach provides both diagnostic information and therapeutic benefit.
How It Helps
Myofascial cupping creates a decompressive effect that can help release fascial restrictions, improve local circulation, reduce muscle tension, and promote tissue healing. When combined with fascial manipulation and other techniques, cupping can accelerate your path to recovery.
The technique is effective for both acute and chronic conditions, and is often incorporated into treatment sessions alongside other modalities for a comprehensive approach to structural correction.
